Bare Naked Noggins for Epilepsy Calgary
A bevy of beauties and bare-naked heads helped raise $40,000 for The Barenaked Noggins Head Shave – Razing Awareness for Epilepsy event in Calgary.
Simply Elegant catered the lunch for those who came out to help Epilepsy Calgary. Epilepsy Calgary is vital to the well-being of Calgarians living with Epilepsy along with their families.
Jack FM’s Matt O’Neill, The Calgary Roughnecks Drill Crew, Miss Calgary, along with other Calgary beauty pageant winners, entertainer Clark Robertson and United Way’s Ruth Ramsden-Wood were all in on the follicle fun, helping to bring attention and much needed funds to a really worthy organization.
Way to go Calgary. Thanks to everyone who put their heads together to (And it will grow back).
Hospice Calgary: Simply Elegant’s Charity of Choice
All of us at Simply Elegant are humbled by the work done by Hospice Calgary. That’s why we’re very proud to announce that, once again, Hospice Calgary is Simply Elegant’s charity of choice for the 2010 season.
As we did last year, Simply Elegant and staff members plan to help raise money for Hospice Calgary through their annual walk, walking with Hospice Calgary clergy as part of “The Holy Crows.”
As we did last year, we will help the residents and staff of Hospice Calgary celebrate Christmas with a beautiful traditional feast with some non traditional accents. The Seafood Platter went over particularly well. And we will provide small events throughout the year to brighten the days of those at Hospice Calgary.
If you are inclined towards charitable giving this season, please consider a donation to Hospice Calgary. Here is a bit more about their vital efforts to bring dignity and care to those who are very ill.

A Perfect Alberta Wedding: Holly and Cam Daniels
We love helping couples create their perfect wedding and recently, we had the great privilege of planning and producing the wedding of Holly and Cam Daniels.
The couple wanted to enjoy their wedding and each other. That meant looking for ways to alleviate as much stress as possible. Thematically, they wanted their day to be simple, elegant and to reflect the western hospitality that is so much a part of who they are.
Flowers were very important to this wedding. The right flowers can transform any space and evoke all kinds of emotions through their beauty and of course through their smell and Holly understood that, taking great time and care in choosing her flowers.
Holly’s flowers were opulent orchid, Ecuadorian rose and lily wedding. 5 foot tall centerpieces in fluted glass vases on each table delighted the guests without overpowering the conversation.
Cam exports beef internationally and he had aged his own Canadian beef to serve to his guests, a thoughtful detail that speaks to who they are.
Guests came in from all over, including international destinations, and were absolutely blown away by Holly and Cam’s choice of décor, especially the Saloon that made the whole event specifically Western and very fun.
The Keister Family Fiddlers www.keisterfamilyfiddlers.com rounded off the affair with toe tapping music that was a musical expression of the joy everyone assembled felt.
Holly, Cam, thank you for letting us be part of your special day. We wish you many years of happiness!
