Simply Elegant has grown from its humble roots in 1997, founded by Robert Vidra, a chef, to meet the evolving catering needs of the Calgary business community. Vidra spent two years conducting on-the-street market research, talking with everyone from receptionists to Fortune 500 CEO’s , designing a catering company that would meet or exceed the expectations of those he hoped to serve.

Having developed Simply Elegant into one of Calgary’s premiere catering companies, an increasing number of Vidra’s clients asked that The Company take over their Event and Party Planning needs. Simply Elegant launched their Events division in 2007, planning, producing and/or managing events as varied as Galas, AGM’s and even an Air show!

Simply Elegant also works closely with a Toronto based public relations and marketing firm, Babble On Communications, on projects where clients wish to have their events expertly promoted.

Weddings are another area where Simply Elegant has distinguished itself, providing wedding planning and wedding catering services that are custom designed for each couple. An award-winning on-staff designer helps ensure that every aspect of the couple’s vision is realized through all details, including the décor and flowers for weddings that are wholly Simply Elegantly produced.
