Hike for Hospice Calgary 2010

It’s important to give back, to take care of the people who take care of us and those we love. That’s why Hospice Calgary is Simply Elegant’s charity of choice. The mandate of Hospice Calgary is to provide the best in end of life care, an overwhelming time in the life of any family.

Hike for Hospice Calgary 2010 was a joyous event, comprised of almost 400 people who raised $60,000 – well over the target they’d set for themselves. Team Simply Elegant raised $4664.00, with help from our clients, families and friends. In fact, we had 18 walkers in our team and, not that we’re bragging, but we did win the Team Spirit Award.

Perhaps it had something to do with these two crazy characters, Sharon Barwick, our Events, Weddings and Client manager, and her sister, Carol Barwick, a chaplain at Rosedale Hospice.

That’s just how they roll.
