Barbecue Salad
This BBQ Salad is smoky and yummy!
1 Romaine heart
1 Bartlett pear, halved
3 celery stalks, cut in 3 or 4
Sliced almonds, toasted
Goat cheese or goat feta
Balsamic vinegar
Extra virgin olive oil
Drizzle romaine heart with a half and half mixture of balsamic vinegar and olive oil inside and out. Brush the pear and celery with the same mixture. Grill the romaine heart on medium heat on each side until light brown marks appear. Do the same with the pear and celery. Let cool. Chop the romaine into bite sized pieces and each pear half into four. Toss in a bowl with the celery, almonds and cheese. Top with chopped green onion.
Enjoy!
