Robert Vidra is the owner of Simply Elegant, a company he founded twelve years ago. While building Simply Elegant, Vidra took a job driving taxi through Calgary's downtown, conducting on-the-street market research with corporate clients he picked up as fares. He talked to industry leaders, executives and support staff about their companies, their food needs and catering expectations, always fine- tuning his plans to open what is now one of Calgary's premiere catering businesses. In 2006, the Company expanded to open an Events division, filling the city's need for an events company that has catering in-house. Vidra believes in transparency in business, and has an open book policy towards his clients. He is committed to reducing his company's carbon footprint and is constantly seeking new environmentally friendly ways of meeting or exceeding his clients' expectations.
